Van wat ik begrijp van BBC World en CNN tart de situatie in New Orleans elke beschrijving, het is volgens een BBC oorlogscorrespondent erger dan waar hij in Afrika en Azie getuige van is geweest.
Ook op de BBC website duidelijke taal:

"This is a national disgrace - we can send massive amounts of aid to tsunami victims, but we can't bail out the city of New Orleans"

"Why is it that the most powerful country on the face of the Earth takes so long to help so many sick and so many elderly people,"

Michael Moore, aartsvijand van George Bush, is middels een open brief, natuurlijk niet te beroerd ook een duit in het zakje te doen.
